Polyphonic Drawing performance with Tobias Gutmann and Pablo Lienhard
In a performance setting, the artists Tobias Gutmann (visual artist) and Pablo Lienhard (saxophonist) simultaneously produce music and its score. Ink and sound function as two voices of a larger audiovisual composition. Through their artistic practice, they aim to bring people, cultures, and environments together. Their performance explores the relationship between language, music and drawing and strives to influence people in a positive way, and to communicate an incentive for participation. Tobias Gutmann is currently studying at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) and Pablo Lienhard just graduated from ZHdK. Because improvisation is the foundation of their work, every performance is unique.
